Summary

Amplitude Studios is a Paris-based game development studio specializing in 4X strategy games, known for titles such as Endless Space, Endless Legend, and Humankind. With a focus on community-driven development, Amplitude utilizes its Games2Gether platform to involve players directly in the creative process, allowing fans to influence design decisions and shape the evolution of its games.


As an Office Manager Assistant at Amplitude Studios, I had the opportunity to work within a team of 6, supporting an organization of approximately 180 employees. My role focused on enhancing the work environment and streamlining operational processes, with close collaboration across departments such as HR, IT, and finance. I engaged in initiatives that strengthened team morale, supported resource management, and facilitated effective communication across various departments.

Key Responsabilities

  • Cross-Team Coordination
    Ensured smooth communication between different departments, including HR, IT, and Production, to guarantee that internal initiatives were well integrated and effective. This involved regular exchanges to anticipate and resolve logistical and administrative needs, and tracking meetings to adjust priorities based on team requirements.


  • Work Environment Management
    Supervised the organization and optimization of workspaces, including offices, meeting rooms, and common areas. My goal was to create a comfortable and functional environment where every team member could work in optimal conditions. This included arranging spaces based on ongoing projects and team configurations.


  • Internal Event Organization
    Planned and managed internal events, such as team meetings, team-building sessions, and corporate events, in collaboration with management. This responsibility included budgeting, selecting suppliers, and overseeing logistical preparations.


  • Administrative and Logistical Support
    Managed orders, mail, and equipment requests to ensure smooth daily operations. This involved staying in contact with suppliers, tracking expenses, and managing stocks of essential supplies.


  • Continuous Process Improvement
    Identified and resolved friction points in internal workflows. For example, I standardized certain procedures to make them more accessible and efficient, reducing the time required for certain repetitive administrative operations.


  • Internal Communication
    Drafted and distributed clear communications to keep teams informed of updates, upcoming events, and logistical changes. This task involved making complex information easy to understand and maintaining a motivating and inclusive tone.

My experience at Amplitude Studios was guided by a support and adaptability-oriented approach


By maintaining constant communication with various teams, I aimed to anticipate their needs while remaining flexible in the face of unexpected events. 

Transparency and responsiveness were essential in ensuring that teams felt supported and trusted, and I worked to foster a collaborative environment where everyone could easily voice their needs.


I also applied a continuous improvement philosophy, seeking ways to optimize administrative and logistical processes, which helped streamline certain operations and reduce processing times

This approach contributed to enhancing team productivity and their day-to-day well-being.

This experience taught me the importance of flexibility and responsiveness in a dynamic environment, while maintaining high quality standards to meet the teams’ daily needs.
